What is a wetbelt?
A wetbelt is a timing belt that runs inside the engine, bathed in oil. You will find them on engines including the Ford 1.0 EcoBoost, Ford 2.0 EcoBlue and Peugeot / Vauxhall / Citroën 1.2. Over time the belt can deteriorate and shed material. That debris can restrict the oil pickup, while a belt failure can cause serious engine damage.
